With news coming out in LibertadDigital.com, a media climate that promotes Holocaust denial on the alleged financing of GREENPEACE by Exxon, Greenpeace has made me the following communication through my email:
Please contact Greenpeace.
This attack comes after Greenpeace denounced the network funding climate denial. This time we denounce the framework that supports the company Koch Industries. Curiously, this new attack spreads through the same media that promotes the denial, and that systematically defame and insult Greenpeace.
This information is old, but is now used to divert attention from the true reality: financing of oil elasticity of climate denial. And was used earlier by Public Interest Watch (PIW) to force the U.S. government dealing with this in remove Greenpeace USA for its non-profit status exempts it from certain taxes. When published information, the IRS (Internal Review Service) conducted an audit on the accounts of Greenpeace, and its funds. Finally in December 2005, the IRS concluded positively to Greenpeace, and maintained its non-profit status. Subsequently, the Wall Street Journal reported that PIW received funding from Exxon.
Greenpeace has in the United States and the rest of the world, a clear policy of financing. And in any case not accepted funds linked either to governments or intergovernmental organizations, or companies, or with foundations linked to polluting companies. In fact Greenpeace United States maintained its status despite these attacks, after an intensive audit conducted during the administration of George Bush.
